Things I Know To Be True

 1. I laughed at the time, but the Mount Essentials are GOLD.

(1) Create and Nurture Relationships;

(2) Be Willing to Teach Others (bonus is that this teaches patience);

(3)Make A Plan and Follow Through;

(4) The Honor of Integrity;

(5)  and Value Individuals.

2. Know When to Leave (jobs, friendships, relationships, drive-thru lines, etc), and do so with haste. Don't let the universe have to step in, it will be much harder.

3. No one lives forever. We have to recognize this, but don't pre-grieve. Enjoy your moments knowing they won't last, but don't harp on that.

4. Everyone has a role and the part they play can change from situation to situation, from relationship to relationship or job to job. In some situations you will be the star, in some the usher, all of these are vital. Gotta be okay with switching, if you're always the star, you're probably a narcissist. If you're always the usher, you probably need tho think about self-esteem or determine if you're being used.

4. Say thank you, for the small things, the big things, and for nothing. People need to feel appreciated and not just for thing things they can do for you, but for who they are.

5. You would be very surprised at how little people are shown kindness, and they'll be surprised when you show it, but you can be their "faith in humanity" for little cost.

6. Say No. Do not explain why. Your agency does not require an explanation.

7. Trust, but verify (My mentor told me this and it's saved my ass so many times). You don't want to make people feel like you don't trust them, but you also don't want to be embarrassed.

8. No amount of time spent, money invested, or emotions involved is worth your sanity or health. You have options, exercise them if need be.

9. Be courageous and mighty forces will come to your aid.

10. Don't be afraid (sounds like the last one, huh?) for God has given you power, love, and a sound mind. You have been given that. You have the power and strength. You have the support from the love he gave you, and you have all the knowledge you need to accomplish anything. Remember this when it's hard to think, remember when it when you feel tapped out, remind yourself when you feel inadequate or foolish. You've always had all the tools you need and go forth without timidity.
